CCAPP Credentialing will offer a limited number of scholarships (established to honor the memory of Warren Daniels) to incoming new professionals. These awards are determined on a competitive basis and require submitting a statement as an essay.

About Donations, Where & How They Are Used

Your donation will go directly to the Warren Daniels Scholarship Fund. All proceeds will be used for scholarships as specified above. We do not take administrative costs from the fund except to cover expenses incurred by our merchant service for credit processing fees (taken before receiving the funds).

About Warren Daniels

Warren Albert Daniels III passed away on January 11, 2023, in his home. He was 70. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Building in Grass Valley.

Warren was a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, National Certified Addiction Counselor, Certified Criminal Justice Professional, Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Chemical Dependency Intervention Specialist prior to earning his Master of Arts Degree in Addictive Disorders. He was also a graduate of the Sierra Health Foundation Leadership Program. Warren was the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of CoRR/ Granite Wellness Center and the Foundation. He was a prominent leader, served on many commissions and committees in Placer and Nevada County, and held numerous positions on the CAADAC and CCAPP Board of Directors. Warren enjoyed family events, attending concerts, music cruises, golfing with friends, attending conferences, as well as social and fundraising events in the community and beyond. He will be missed by all.

Warren is survived by his wife Karen Mills, and her sons Nathan (Christine) Mills and Nolan Mills (Autumn Prophet), granddaughters Macy Mills and Nicole Mills, and mother-in-law Darlene Harris. Also survived by half-sisters Suzanne Thierry, Wendy (Don) Vierstra, Ginny (Louie) Wautlet, and Dani (Ken) Junkes; six nieces and one nephew; and his bonus stepdaughter, Sarah Olson. He is proceeded in death by his mother Carolyn Daniels, father Warren A. Daniels II, half-sister Bobbie Jo Kahakauwila and stepmother JoAnn Daniels. Memorial Contributions can be made to the California Consortium of Addiction Program and Professionals.
